bestdentists.ae is an independent dental clinic ranking and referral platform based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are not a dental clinic, medical practice, or healthcare provider. We help patients find and compare DHA-licensed and MOH-licensed dental clinics across the UAE.

2. What Information We Collect

2.1 Information you give us directly

When you use our Free Quote form, Contact form, or WhatsApp channel, we may collect:

• Your name
• Email address
• Phone number (including WhatsApp number)
• Treatment type of interest (e.g. implants, veneers, Invisalign)
• Approximate budget range
• Your location (UAE resident or visiting from abroad)
• Any additional notes you choose to share in the message field

You are never required to share medical records, X-rays, or clinical history with us. If a clinic requests these directly, that is between you and the clinic.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit bestdentists.ae, standard web server logs and analytics tools collect:

• IP address (anonymised where required)
• Browser type and version
• Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Referring URL (how you arrived at the site)
• Approximate geographic location (country / city level, derived from IP)

4. Who We Share Your Information With

4.1 Dental clinics

When you submit a quote request, we share your name, contact details, and treatment interest with the dental clinic(s) we recommend or that you select. We only share your information with clinics we have verified against the DHA or MOH licence register. We do not sell your data to clinics — clinic partnerships are managed on a flat-fee basis, not per-lead billing.

Once your information reaches a clinic, their own privacy policy governs how they handle it. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any clinic you engage with.

We may disclose your information if required to do so by UAE law, court order, or a lawful request from a government or regulatory authority. We will notify you of such a request where we are legally permitted to do so.

• We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
• We do not share your data with insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, or marketers unrelated to dental care.
• We do not share your data with clinics you have not expressed interest in.

5. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use the following categories of cookies:

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data for the following periods:

• Quote request and contact form submissions: 12 months from the date of submission, unless you ask us to delete sooner.
• WhatsApp messages: Governed by Meta’s retention policy. We do not archive WhatsApp conversations beyond the WhatsApp application itself.
• Analytics data: Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months (the minimum configurable retention period). Anonymised aggregate data may be retained longer.
• Server logs: Standard server access logs are retained for 30 days.

After the applicable retention period, personal data is securely deleted or anonymised.

7. Your Rights

Under the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection (PDPL), and where applicable the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to deletion: Request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.

• Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

Parents or guardians submitting a quote request on behalf of a minor patient (e.g. for paediatric dentistry) are responsible for ensuring their consent is given on the child’s behalf.

9. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers (Google, Meta/Facebook, Cloudflare) are based in the United States and process data on servers located outside the UAE. Where such transfers occur, we rely on standard contractual clauses (SCCs) or other appropriate safeguards to ensure your data is protected to a standard equivalent to UAE PDPL requirements.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. These include:

• HTTPS encryption across the entire site (enforced via Cloudflare)
• Access controls limiting who within our team can access form submission data
• Regular software and security updates
• Cloudflare DDoS and bot protection

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. If you have reason to believe your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

11. Links to Third-Party Websites

bestdentists.ae contains links to dental clinic websites and other third-party sites. Once you leave our site, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of linked sites.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
